Photos without transparency are added to the PDF at high quality to keep the file practical. The page layout may scale an image to fit, but it does not turn image text into searchable text.

AVIF and PDF use different compression methods. A PDF can be larger than its original AVIF, especially with transparent images or several pages.

No. The generated PDF contains image pages, not recognized text. Use OCR software separately if you need text in a scanned image to be searchable.
What happens if my AVIF file is animated?
PDF pages are still images. If an animated AVIF is detected, only the first frame is added to the PDF so a short clip does not turn into hundreds of pages.
How many AVIF files can I convert at once?
There is no daily conversion limit. A desktop batch can contain up to 15 files, with a 25 MB limit per file and an 80 MB batch limit. On mobile, the limit is 5 files, 10 MB per file, and 30 MB per batch.
